Homework
Our homework is divided into three main types:
1. Reading and Spellings
We expect every child to read each evening. This may be a few pages of the book from school, or it could be the leaflet they picked up from the Supermarket. Find some ideas on different things to read on the link below:
25 Things Kids Can Read Besides Books - Mama Wears Pajamas
Children will have spelling and key vocabulary lists sent home either termly or weekly depending on the age of your child. These are to be practised with the child to ensure they can read them, understand the meaning of the word and spell them correctly. Find a list of all the words below.
2. TT Rockstars for Key Stage 2
In Key Stage 2 children will need to log onto TT Rockstars online: Times Tables Rock Stars: Play (ttrockstars.com)
Children will learn and practise their timetables facts as much as possible to ensure they are fluent in each of them and can recall them quickly.
3. Education City Activity
Your child will have a individual login letter to access the online learning platform of Education City.
Each week the class teacher will set a homework activity for your child to complete. This will directly link to the learning happening within the classroom and can be any of the subjects taught. Using this login your child will also be able to access other games and activities across the curriculum.
