Many people have asked for an update on the crisp packet blanket for the homeless. We are proud to say we met our target and have collected, washed, and joined enough packets to create the blanket for the homeless. Well done to all the members of the Eco Club and Mrs Cox who have worked so hard on this project.

Year 4 had a lovely time dipping in the River Dour. The children looked at the different habitats around the river and even spotted a moorhen nest with eggs. They learnt how to collect a sample using the kick method. They then separated the different creatures into a pot - they found hundreds of shrimps! The children made a raft out of wooden debris and competed in a race along the river. They learnt all about abstraction and worked in a team to abstract the water from the river. Finally, they learnt about ways of saving water.   Joey says " it was fun and exciting, I loved getting in the river! I even managed to stay dry!"
