Welcome to Pebbles

This term, we’re focusing on settling the children into their new routines of being in Preschool. We’re helping everyone to feel comfortable, confident and ready to learn as they get to know the classroom, their friends and the adults around them.

Our topic this term focuses on the work of Julia Donaldson. We’ll be sharing some of her much-loved books, including The Gruffalo, A Squash and a Squeeze and Zog. These stories will inspire lots of talking, singing, role play and creative learning.

The children will take part in a variety of fun and engaging activities both inside and outside the classroom. They’ll have opportunities to explore, make choices, develop their communication and language skills, and learn through play. We’ll also support them as they build independence, follow familiar routines and enjoy their first experiences of Preschool.
