On Friday 10th November, the children across White Cliffs Primary and Nursery school came together to mark their respect for Remembrance Day. The children from Year 6 led the assembly and a two minute silence was held.  Each class laid a wreath in Remembrance. Parents and children created their own Poppies at home and they were laid as part of the assembly.  

Wow, we had so much to celebrate during the end of term Celebration Assembly!  The children and staff came together to recognise all the wonderful moments from Term 1. It has been such a busy term including Art Week, trips and visits, launching the new Key Stage 2 Reading challenge and so much more!  During the assembly we celebrated and congratulated lots of children who had achieved special accomplishments... We have had a fantastic Art Week at White Cliffs Primary and Nursery School.  We have visited different places within our local area and then worked with artists to create some amazing art.  On Friday 22th September we held an Art Show for all our families to enjoy. 

As part of their Art Week preparations, Year 3 visited St Andrew's Church in Dover. The children looked for 'Art' in different places around the beautiful building. 

The children in Year 2 have been reading the story, The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch by David and Ronda Armitage. As part of their English work, the children have been designing and creating, disgusting sandwiches to stop the seagulls stealing Mr Grinling's lunch. 

We are very proud to share that we have been awarded the The Virtual School Best Practice award for 2023.      

On Friday 15th June the Year 6 children were invited to take place in a Science Jamboree at Pfizer in Sandwich.   The children learnt about all the different careers in Science, including Space Travel, engineering and the environmental sciences.
