In Year 3 we have been classifying and sorting rocks according to their properties. We also had a chance to explore a range of rocks, discussing their textures and properties. 

Our Christmas Raffle tickets are now on sale! £1 for a strip (5 tickets).   If you would like to purchase any tickets, please send the money in with your child in a sealed envelope, marked with 'Raffle' and your child's name and class written on the front.

Odd Socks Day 2021   To launch Anti-Bullying Week we all wore our odd socks into school to celebrate everyone differences. This week our next stop in our learning was Germany. We have learnt that Germany is in the same continent as us; Europe. We discussed how children go to school and the different traditions German people have- such as special food, breakfasts and clothing. We looked at different landmarks and have been reading traditional fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm. In Art, we used lolly sticks to create our very own cuckoo clocks. We watched how real clocks are made and discovered they had whistles inside to make the special sound.

This term in PE, Year 5 will be practising different sports hall activities in preparation for House events this year. On Wednesday 31st October, Year 5 began by practising different jumping techniques and learning how we can jump higher, further and quicker!
